I got a dry rotted fuel hose that goes from the tank to the filter, so I've got the new hose, but it's tight as hell. is there some easy way to get the hose onto the fittings?

heat them up to make them softer, i use hot water but dont get the hot water inside lol. pour hot water over the end (you need quite a bit) then move quickly and put them on the car. i did these hoses recently but didnt need any special effort to get them to fit. you are using 5/16"/8mm hose right? some of the hoses are moulded but thought i should check that you have the correct size as there are different variants etc another option is a heat gun but not near any fuel of cousre needs to be done a bit remotelty89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...
