    Wow it's not spam!

It's an article about buying an E30.

"iX" refers to more than just drivetrain hardware: There are many chassis and suspension changes compared with a rear-drive E30, and BMW even created a special ABS calibration for low-traction surfaces. Accordingly, aftermarket speed parts are either unhelpful or long out of production.

This is a real problem for iX.

Cool that they did it, but it was pretty basic. Our buyer's guide is way more concise. Plus I'd have linked the RCR review for shits and giggles. ;)

I always thought the factory recommended interval was 60k/4 years??

My iX has never gone more than 4 years without a tb change. 126k and 5 timing belts later. PO still manages to have one break. In my ownership 2 years 16k and 3 timing belts..;D

Have you looked at the For Sale section lately?

                        values

I looked at and then averaged the last 20 for sale ads and after throwing out the highest and lowest prices, came up with an average of about $9,500 initial asking price. Keep in mind that the for sale section is inhabited by enthusiats and almost all of the cars listed reflect this type of ownership. You would have to dig deeper to determine a trend however. I guess the point is that if you want a real good E30 be prepared to pay for it.

$9500 is a lot more than the $3000 and less that I used to see all over the place 5 years ago.
