URO Exhaust brackets

In my opinion The only things you want real and don't want to cheap out on is safety. Including but not limited to all suspension components, tires, and keeping the motor running with good parts so your not stranded.




Cosmetics on the other hand and trim pieces I wouldn't care if it's aftermarket. You can get a oem convertible top for an E30 $800
Or a decent one on Amazon/eBay for $250
For the money you can replace the $250 top 3 times before you get to oem price.

Really your choice

Did anyone see URO brackets in person? From pics they look identical to OEM.

I wouldn't get too excited by those parts, just wraps around the muffler. Not much can go wrong. $10 sounds like the right price.

I made one from a bit of thin steel for mine. Found the steel in the garage.

I would not install a single APA/"URO parts" item on any car I work on.

URO has a terrible reputation among the Volvo community for their rubber hoses and rubber parts. I personally wouldn't use URO branded parts for that reason alone.

If you're using your E30 year-round and have road salt where you live then I'd vote for something other than URO. If yours is a winter time garage queen, it might be OK.

Are they galvanized steel? Looks like OEM and URO painted black, not sure if they are galvanized and painted.

Yeah, what’s the big deal? I don’t remember what i threw on my car when i got the Ansa but its not hard to keep the hanger straps clean and throw a fresh coat of paint on every now and then.

I'd get them. They're muffler straps, not much can go wrong there. They could be replaced them 5 times for the price of OE, and I'm sure they wouldn't have to be.

To play the URO devil's advocate: I daily my e30, and I've got several URO parts on the car, namely all but two of my cooling hoses, coolant level sensor, and power steering hoses. I daily my car, and two years after my engine rebuild, the hoses are just fine. Perfect fit, no dry rot, cracks, or any other drama. On our e36, the vanos fees hose is URO. On our X5, the vanos feed hose, fan blades, and pcv piping are URO. All were of good quality and perfect fit.
I wouldn't use them for anything suspension related that could kill me if the part failed, but for things that can be easily checked on during oil changes, seems perfectly fine. We're talking about muffler straps, you don't always need to pay more for something like that.
