Lemme ask you... if I spun a bearing, is this something that could leave me stranded with a seized engine at some point?

Chapel I blew little time ago the #1 Rod bearing, it was making a horriblw sound when I was pushing at the limits my engine with a turbo on it..

Then I drove the car in "light" mode up to my house (this happened when i was in the ilegal street races) and in the next morning up to my shopp... took out the oil pan, and checked all the bearing, the number one went to hell.

I checked the journal of the crank and showed very goo, very soft, with out scratches or so... I polished with a light polsih paper all the journals for better and smoot fucntion..

Then replaced the rod bearings and and crank bearings, all that with out taking my block out of the car....and that took us about 1 day of fully labor.

Last week I added MotorKote, a impressive aditive (kind of) without solids like the others that prevent the frcition, I can confim that this product rocks!! and works!! I tested it in a little machine and never stopped the metal wheel like when ita was wet only in oil.

In that way my rod bearing and crank bearing will be more safe than ever like all the rest!

i don't THINK he was on e3s. i know he's on DTM New England.

as to the nature of the rollover... i dunno, he hasn't given out any details, but i'll go ahead & guess it happened at either Watkins Glen or Lime Rock Park, since the car was a track rat & i think the race seasons have kicked off at both of em by now. other than that i won't make any other guesses as to how it happened
