Is that a later m30 or the earlier one? George needs the later one. I might be interested in some also.

        motor mounts

The motor mounts from de does any one now if they will fit a turbo in the down position I now e34biturbo uses those mounts for his e30 m3 but he has a custom large tube exhaust manifold???
I also talked to my buddy’s dad that has a machine shop and he told me that if I give him a mold he could build 20 sets minimum it would be worth it and probably in the 100-200 dollar range but as far as that goes I wont be ready for that stage in my project for at least a couple of months I will keep every one posted.

FYI for those who are or might go turbo down the road I am trying to build motor mounts in such a way, that the TCD kit stage 2 will bolt right on with little or no modifying

Here is a pic of the engine postion Disregard the wire mess.

i'm using an older block. After seeing pics of the newer mount I see how they are different in mounting.

That sounds like a good idea Greg. If only they were cheaper. But I may consider that If I have can sell enough extra parts I have.

Here is a deal since so many of you need them. Group your money together then order from one person. I will be in Germany till 30 July. Then it reduces the cost for everyone. Have the one shop fab about a dozen or so and you set.

Better than monkeying around. They pass TUV so you know they are good quality work. Shipping will be dirt cheap. Youl'll have them at the latest by 7 August.

Sounds like I plan. Let's get a list together of who want the early mounts, and the latter mounts

I not sure if I am using the older or newer block - the difference is only on ONE side right?

The older has a VERTICAL mount, and the newer is horzontial correct?

it appears so. The Exhuast side is differnt, send me a pic of the intake side mount and I'll take pics of both sides of my older block to compare.

If the Intake side is the same for newer or older I'll go for the newer mounts, and just have the exhuast side made.

Ok here are pics of my 1984 633csi mounts.
The intake appears the same with just the way the Exhuast side mounts is different. On the newer block it uses 3 holes and mounts up higher on the block.
I'll go in on a set of the newer mounts as i can use just the one side then it will be easier to fabricat the other side as I'll know the angle it needs to be and all.
                                Intake side

                                Exhuast Side

If we can get 10 people in on the mounts they'd be like $25 per person then the cost of having them copied.

I don't under stand why you couldn't use the Older mounts on the newer block as it appears it has the casting spots for the lower bolt holes. George can you post the part number on your Intake side mount?
