ballpark price for fabbing up some motor mounts...

I was wondering what is the situation on your mounts that you ordered from bmw.de. Are you still waiting to receive them or has the order been canceled or some other solution?

Also, how long do you guys think it will be before we can get these mounts or this thing started? I want to start my m30 project very soon (as I have about a month to finish it). The only two parts I need are the mounts and a flywheel.

Ok A2 is Drawn But I need the spacing for the holes, you say the holes are 12mm in diamiter but when you do the math the measurments for A1 work out to 14mm diameter holes.
Sorry if it sounds Critical this is what I'm going to be doing for a Future(auto cad drawings).

A2 and B2 overall measurment's are a bit of a guess because of the weld's and grinding on the edge's have made measuring difficult.

A2 and B2 hole's are 25 mm apart from the centre of each hole.These two hole's are the differance between P2 and P3.

The all the hole's on both mount's are 12 mm as far as i can tell.

Further measurment's are going to be very awkward because (touch wood !) they are going to be fitted and supporting my M30 by the end of today or tomorow.

If you took those measurment from the photos you can forget about using it - it won't be accurate.

But - DAM - thanks for the effort...and the close up pics...

What kind of steel is it? And that's just acr welding I spot right?

I don't know what type of steel it is :?:

Weld look's like ARC,to ruff looking for MIG.

Don't worry about any more measurements. Thanks for the pics as it gives me a good idea how the things are shaped and what not.

George's mounts from e30.de were lost in the mail. Tino refunded his money but George is looking into repurchasing the mounts but this time having them sent to Greg In Germany. Greg has to have them by the 30th for him to be able to bring them back to the U.S. Then He'll ship them to George most likely as He found someone who should be able to copy them for cheap.
So far there are 4 of us interested in mounts 3 copies

george - if you need any help with the site to get it up sooner I can try and help, I've dabled in html and ran a test forum on a webserver we used to have. I'm also a quick learner for anything I dont know.

Yes BMW335ist was talking about making copies. But he has no idea when he can. And there the older mounts, but the newer mount should work on the older block.
Except for that new custom newer mount wouldn't work on the older block just the e30.de ones.
