I am using a "newer block".

Rs4pro3 is using an older block.

I think we've figured out that you can use the 'newer" mounts on an older block. So we going to try one last ditch attempt to get a set and have them hand carried from germany to the US.

I just purchased a '88 635csi motor, and I am looking for a e34 oil pan and pump to be able to make it work.

Now that know what motor I'll be using, I have one more round of parts ordering. My budget is going to be $3400-$3800 all said and done.

I've registered the domain www.e30m30.com, and now have upgraded the account to support a fourm like this - so weill have a place to hang our hats. I'll try and get the fourm running soon...

Yea, I can't wait to start the fourm - defiently have an engine building section.

I think I might find anotheer long block, and build something with it in the furture.

What is a fair price for a e34 m30 oil pan?

What is your 0-60 time on an e30 with a stock m30?

Ya I've got a 1984 633csi engine I purchased with the 5 speed tranny for $300 right now it is mostly torn down and once I get the crank nut off, I'm going to clean and paint everything then completly regasket the engine.
I already have the E34 pan, oil pump, power steering brackets that I need, and I still need to buy an ICV, driveshaft, tranny crossmember, m30 down pipes, ECU, alternator, upper end gasket kit, and a few other items. But Like George said after comaring the newer versur older mounts the intake mount is the same minus on bolt hole and the newer exhuast side mount just mounts farther forward on the block but the older block has the bolt holes already.

I thank I paid $245 for the pump & pan my freind use to work at u-pull-it auto wrecking.

I dont now what 0-60 times are but ran the 1/4 mile smoking the stock tires 14.5 sec and had 2.2 sec 60 ft time, the 3:73 gear was too low.

Looks like you might not need to order.

Thank you very much, I'll do some autocad drawings, but there are a few measurments missing,Third pic Height from A1 to the upper tipe of A3, same with the Width also.
What diameter are the bolt holes? thickness of each plate?
Same with B mount Verticle distance from B2 to B1 What would be best would be center line Measurments of all the pieces, then I can just off set the lines to the desired thickness of the plate.
6th pic Verticle distance to where the angle changes
Realy I need a mount in front of me to measure as they have some very complex Geometry.

Well I saw the thicknesses, and am awsuming the bolt holes ar 14mm as that is what the math works out to, Face A1 is drawn right no so far.

Ok A2 is Drawn But I need the spacing for the holes, you say the holes are 12mm in diamiter but when you do the math the measurments for A1 work out to 14mm diameter holes.
Sorry if it sounds Critical this is what I'm going to be doing for a Future(auto cad drawings).

If you took those measurment from the photos you can forget about using it - it won't be accurate.

But - DAM - thanks for the effort...and the close up pics...

What kind of steel is it? And that's just acr welding I spot right?
