We need to get as much info on them as we can, we are going to custom fab one or two for mine and my wife's E30's, but much smaller and more lightweight.
If you made a bunch of those and sold them for less than the dealer you'd get rid of all of them fast...

That being said, a stock height E30 should never need to use one.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Every one on here has lowered or plans to. I will talk to my uncle and see how much they will cost to make and sell a few.

I bought one of these last year, but never installed it since it ads weight up front.

I did look into producing these (copies of the factory plate) but all the metal guys I talked to said, "Not gonna happen".

I'm going to look again as there is obviously intrest.

Back off, I am broke teenager and I need them. Besides Aluminum would work and not weigh much

                    LOL

You think .25 inch think Aluminum would work well? one solid panel or in strips like the OE one?

By the way I will need someone in Georgia to come by and fit one for a later model car.

No. Think about the properties of aluminium, and you are just protecting an oilpan that's made of what? oh that's right aluminium.

Just make sure its rigid and also easy to remove, as we need to do our regular oil changes. Good luck with the production.

Well protecting Aluminum with Alumium is not a problem, it keeps the valable pan safe and the oil inside.

I can make it light and rigid, just don't know if I will have time any time soon. I too have designs for strut braces. so...

I probably could do it. I'd like one when I drop mine. :)
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

I will call the supply shops around tomorrow. My friend will let us use his lift and we can meassure everything, pending profitablity.

They can't weigh that much, how bad? Or did you mean in addition to your swapped engine.
