                i think the water jacket would be the least of the problems. How will you drive the camshaft sprocket?
                89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

                  replace it with a pulley?.. possibly I've never sat down and looked at an m50 head. i think i will.

                    Considering the difference is ignition systems you could practically swap out the entire engine harness with one from a non-vanos E36. You would pretty much have to considering that you would have to change over to the coil pack iginition system that the M50 uses.


                    Hmmm.. now I'm intrigued.. I gots a non-vanos head in the garage I could poke around at.
