i know i've read it before somewhere but what is the front to rear weight dist of a stock 325is? if a swapped car is sitting at 52/48 with the extra 100 or so pounds up front a stock 325is must be pretty close to 50/50 no?

So it sounds like I've managed to trim more weight than I thought. No wonder it actually feels pretty quick with a warm M20... I pull the rear seat to go racing, but that's about it. I'm curious about f/r and cross weights, but I haven't had a chance to put it on corner scales yet. I wonder just how much better it will drive after being corner balanced!

i found it suprizing how different the cars "feel" vs. what the scales said. so, how much does a cf hood weigh?

Bathroom scale on each wheel, then combine.

Add only the front two and the back two to get your weight distribution

well i tried that method once and broke four bathroom scales, and couldn't get a reading before they broke. is there another solution?

i've been tempted to drive into one of those weigh station things, but i wasn't sure whether it was legal for me to do so or not.

The dump, but they will be pissed if they are busy and you are just there to weigh your car, plus the one here has rutted oily dirt roads leading to it. You can go to a race shop, that does corner balancing.

There is a scale a few miles from my house. I'll go weigh the car and take a pic of the weight.

I used the scale at the dump. There's one here that's only about a mile away, and they have a nice, new, clean drive-on scale that's never crowded. They don't mind.

I've weighed my vehicles at the CAT Scales at gas stations right off the interstate many times. Around here all the CAT Scales seem to be located at the Pilot Gas stations. It cost me $8 each time.
