planning my turbo build. trying to figure out my options for relocations for the coolant reservoir. i did a few google searches maybe im not asking the right questions but not sure what route to go.

Cap the water pump small outlet (or use a late model pump) and use the tee hose on the driver side from a late model (goes from themo housing to heater core and expansion). This will enable you to use a late model, or aftermarket expansion tank on the driver side while leaving the rest of the system stock.

+1 on the late model cooling system conversion.

I should have made standoffs to actually mount it to the battery tray, at present it is just sitting there. I normally have a heat shield mounted as well to protect it from heat from the downpipe.

That's how a late model taps the system for the expansion tank. The early models have a hose coming off the water pump.
