planning my turbo build. trying to figure out my options for relocations for the coolant reservoir. i did a few google searches maybe im not asking the right questions but not sure what route to go.

maybe just lengthen the hose and put it in the battery tray if you dont have a battery there. -
Cap the water pump small outlet (or use a late model pump) and use the tee hose on the driver side from a late model (goes from themo housing to heater core and expansion). This will enable you to use a late model, or aftermarket expansion tank on the driver side while leaving the rest of the system stock.Comment

I should have made standoffs to actually mount it to the battery tray, at present it is just sitting there. I normally have a heat shield mounted as well to protect it from heat from the downpipe.

That's how a late model taps the system for the expansion tank. The early models have a hose coming off the water pump.Comment

It is, always has been. If you are not using a heater core, you can just close off the back of the head and use a straight hose from the thermostat housing to expansion tank and nix the tee.Originally posted by brahbarian View PostComment
