Sounds like its dumping somewhere when it cools. Maybe its making down the HVAC drains?

They usually leak on the inlet / outlet side though into the floorboard.. .

I assume this is a manual with no trans cooler in the radiator?

Trans cooler is in radiator?

check your trans fluid for coolant?

Its usually the other way around though..

If hot/cold pressure test holds...
And no cross contamination with trans fluid/coolant...
Try a combustion gas tester (Tee Kay) in the coolant.

I have the same issue after replacing all the major components in the cooling system.
All hoses, tank, heater core, valve etc.
No oil in coolant or vice versa.
The level in the expansion tank drops 1/4 to 1/2 inch after a few hours drive.

Was also verified by an old school mechanic with the cold socket extension through the spar plug hole trick

I don't know if this will work but:

I've always been able to find coolant leaks by getting the engine good and hot by normal driving. Then park the car and LEAVE THE HOOD CLOSED for 5 minutes. After this 5 minute period, open the hood and search everywhere in he engine and passenger compartment for leaking coolant.

This period (5 minutes after shutdown) is the time that is most likely to cause a leak because the temperature and pressures are the highest.

so... I have noticed it being leaked out of the blow hose on the neck of the expansion tank cap. the hose that dumps into the wheel well has been showing signs of leaking. I am tempted to call that the issue with the loss. now... why does it expand out of there is the question. sent from hell using Tapatalk

I'm rarely at a simmer... ever... but every day I'm puttin in 1/2 qt. I'll pull the expansion tank in the morning and rebuild it... maybe something is clogged? sent from hell using Tapatalk

dude. check the hose i told you to. i have a sneaking suspicion that's your issue. buy a new tank, too.

New tank and cap.

maybe a gauge on the coolant system to see if your over pressuring it.

anything old, replace it, inspect it, rule it out.
