How can there not be pics here yet. $1000 for an M3 running or not is theft.

Yeah $1000 is practically the price of a bare block (unskimmed). At a minimum the motor is worth $2k in parts alone as long as they aren't destroyed. If the damage is extensive it can and will suck you dry like a vampire, you'll fall under the illusions of grandeur chasing the dream next thing you know you'll be shaking a cup at a local off ramp trying to fund things like timing components or headwork. I digress, good luck...

Reviving an old thread here but update!! I went and took a look at it around Christmas, didn't take pics since it was like 5 degrees outside lol all in all it didn't look too bad! I hate to say it in fear of jinxing myself but it looked to have minimal rust.. I think a new hood, front bumper, fender and radiator support will be half the battle structurally.. I do have an entire front clip he had acquired to fix it at my disposal.. The front right portion where the fender mounts is also bent, so it's possible ill need to have someone weld that part in,, anyone know a certified bmw body tech or someone who knows what they're doing enough to do it right the first time? ... It looks like the front impact didn't hurt the engine or anything so that was good to see.. I should be picking it up and bringing it home sometime after May, so stay tuned if you're interested :) ill post pics as soon as I can guys,, thanks again for the info!

It's quite a ways away and I'm about to purchase a house (complete with a nook where the m3 will fit perfectly!) but don't worry, I'll have it soon!! Think I'll be keeping the original s14 and rebuilding it :)

The yellow one. It was almost scrap metal material.

Just read this entire thread and you say you don't think his is crushed like that yellow one?
You are referring to the one your buying as his, soon to be your car? If it is,then you've said you've seen it, correct? How do you not know its condition? I'm confused?
