These prices are getting out of control. Just a few years ago a car like that would have sold for 7-10k at most.....

I know it, man. I'm glad I got mine when I did- they're almost unobtainable for the enthusiast market anymore.

Already on Ebay, with a totally unsuspicious cover photo

Autocheck report is scary. Wrecked, salvage, mileage discrepancy.

Thanks! I was awaiting the VIN to confirm my suspicion.

This car was actually recently purchased totaled via Copart, had the rear damage fixed, and wrecked again! I've been following this one for a while but didn't know where it went.

          VIN tells all.

The car being totaled out probably results from it being insured by a standard insurer that would look at the value along the lines of a 30 year old used car, not as a classic that is appreciating. Thinking I'm going to put mine with Hagerty when its done.

Yes, that's very likely the case.

Most companies have cheap and good fixed value policies much like Hagerty's model, but very few folks use them. I have one through State Farm.

Do you know what is sold for on Copart? I check Copart fairly often, but this one I missed.

Looks like it was repaired, then wrecked again..
