    e36 m3 rear caliper into e30 - brake hoses

What are people doing with the rear brake hoses to fit e36 m3 calipers onto an e30 ? the port for the hose is pointing down so the standard lines dont work. the left caliper actually fits on the RHS but will be difficult to bleed most likely? is it custom hoses or is there a 90 fitting the can be used?

Does anyone make lines off the shelf as it must be a common issue?

Would a banjo fitting work if the seal ring will squish in there?

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

probably not as i think the machined face is a bit small, but i think if going down custom lines id just get hoses with a 90 degree swivel about same length as stock.

i did see some people having luck with using the longer front hose which "fits" but rubs onthe CV and there isnt away to reorient to a safe position.

i have temporaily made a small piece of hard line into an elbow/U shape with a standard tube nut into the caliper and into a coupler at the other end that the hose also screws into. The movement is pretty small just the sliding caliper. i think i will likely just get a custom line with a 90 swivel/tube nut.

Just ran across this and looking for any additional information. Have a set of e36 m3 calipers, keep them for a upgrade later and lost track on the project. A few engine builds got in the way.

i ended up getting custom lines with a 90 degree bend fitting swivel and problem solved.
