When I replaced my originals which I am sure had never been removed the set screws came right out no problem, the ATE's came with new ones, I used them took 2 seconds to put them in. I have the originals I'll give them to you and pay shipping if you agree to use them.

I have worked at a bmw shop for the last 3 years so I have done my fair
        share of brakes.

I use a impact driver and have not striped one out yet.

One of my co-workers in the parts department dose is own work on his cars. He has much more ambition than skils, he striped one out on his e36 using an normal ratchet/allen socket combo. He was replacing the rotors so i just pounded on the opposit side of the face of the rotor with a slege and the screw shatered into 3 pices.

I found out yesterday that I got lucky with the rear rotors... the front one stripped and I am kicking myself in the azz for not being more careful with that.
