Has anyone had trouble fitting new control arms, specifically the ball joint that bolts to the strut? I cant seem to figure any solution out. Ive tried jacking it up but it just compresses the spring/shock. And i tried getting a press but i dont have the right amount of space or angles to make it work. Any advice helps. Thanks

Jack it up high, anti-seize on the shaft, and a BFH. Otherwise, I'd grab a micrometer and spec both the shaft and spindle hole.Comment

All that is happening is your brand new balljoints don't flex easy like your old ones did.
Line it up better and it will fit.Comment

I know it will line up, I just don't know how to force it in there. when I jack
up the CA into the strut it goes up a ways and them starts lifting the car. I'm thinking I need like a manual press or something.1989 E30 Zinnoberrot Vert 325i OBD1 S52 turbo;IPComment
