Ireland Stainless Steel Brake lines make a huge differance in pedal feel!

I got a set of lines from Alex (thanks Alex) and put them in today. I have a 750 master, ATE powerslots, new pads front, disks, drums, pads shoes in back and it seems these made a bigger differance in the firmness of my pedal than all of the above.

The feel was a bit soft and the pedal did go almost 1/4 in it's travel before now it is right at the top!

    Does this make sense?

yeah mine seems real tight too. I have basiclly the same setup you do. although there is a little bit of play in the first part of the pedal travel. I saw some stuff under above the pedals that made it look like i could adjust it. Is it possible? what about the clutch?

I just replaced all of my brake lines with stainless steel, not IE, and there was a huge difference in the feel of the brakes. The pedal is much firmer and the brakes feel much more responsive.

The rear disk contains a drum for the parking brake. Therefore it is a disk/drum which has pads/shoes.

          Per your request:

A little bit of freeplay is absolutely critical for both the clutch and brake systems. Don't fuck with it.

How tough is the install on the lines, I've heard some of the lines are easy to put in while the others are quite difficult, whawt exactly is involved in the difficult part?

The hard part are the 2 lines that go from the body of the car to the trailing arms in the rear. Its hard to get wrenches on the lines.

difficult, but not impossible. it's a whole lot easier if you drop the exhaust out of the way.

I did it with the subframe off the car so it was easy.
