Please recommend a pad for the street, lower dust, have hps now

I have hawk hps pads now, but they do not keep the rear discs clean. It may be time for a change. I want lower dust pads. Are the hawk ceramics ok? Other suggestions? Part of me just wants to run down to advance and get a basic pad. I have read enough to go blind and still not sure what pad is best for the street and does not dust like crazy. What about the axxis ultimates? Thanks.

honestly generic stock pads are fine, i run stocks in the front and hps in the rear (only because i got them free). My rear rims are destroyed with brake dust....womp. But ive tracked the car and the stocks stop just fine. Just make sure you bed them in properly and your good.

I agree - stock/OEM pads are best for the street. the ceramics are OK - but none of the low dust pads are really that great. you can't have it all..

if hps are too much dust then the OP wont like stock/oem brakes, clearly braking function is not the No1 priority for brakes?

If lower dust is what you want, go with the "Posi Quiet" ceramic pads. I run them and last pretty long too.
I do get around canyons and such but, they tend to fade fairly quick due to heat when driving spiritedly.

Umm, no. They have good stopping characteristics for a street pad.

Sorry, mistook you for the OP. Yeah, if you want to stop, you will have some dust.

no, they definitely do not. stock pads are far better.

their stopping characteristics include mushy pedal feel, not being able to lock up the brakes/activate ABS, zero cold bite, and melting after 3 laps on the track.

I love the HPS pads I have on my car, always thought they produced little dust

                          They're not track pads, genius.

Duh. They're pretty poor street pads too.

                              Strange

I've heard nothing but good things from people running HPS (NOT HP Plus). I have some sitting in my room for my next brake service.

I've heard they tend not to run super fantastic cold, but nothing overly dramatic and always heard people say they were a decent upgrade over stock and had relatively lower dust than some pads out there

Guess I just have to see for myself
