Guess I just have to see for myself
Myself and others have run them with good success for street use on cars much more capable than E30's.

My buddy runs it on his 25th-Anniv. STi; Another on his 2010 Mustang V8. I've alway heard them say good things

I guess the stock pads on those cars really sucked then.

i went from HPS back to OEM Jurid/textar. i would not use HPS again even if they were given to me for free.

its good having brakes that work and feel good. Jurid/textar FTW on the street

Upgrade the M/C for better brake feel, get one from an e36

I run porterfield r4s on the street. They're a bit noisy, I think I need to lune them up again. Besides that I like them a lot.

I was a big fan of the akebono ceramics + ate premium rotor combo. little to no dust, good pedal feel and stopping power. I used them on the street and spirited driving and was very happy.

I switched to textar pads and cut rotors and hated them, lots of dust and poor wear and poor stopping power. Now I cant 100% blame the pads im sure 99% was the decreased rotor thickness, and perhaps they were not cut evenly.

That said I swapped to stop tech street performance pads and brembo blanks and love them. More dust then the akebonos but lots of bite and great pedal feel.

running double diaphragm booster (e32 735i), e36 m3 master cylinder (25.4mm) and stock e30 brakes

Or just use pads that dont suck? :p

And a larger MC isnt really an "upgrade", it just makes the pedal effort higher for the same amount of braking force. So it feels stiffer, but you just have to push harder - which is not a good thing when HPS can barely activate abs on a wet surface.

For my purposes I like it, gives better control for threshold braking, I don't have abs in my car anymore ( personal preference, never liked abs in any car).

does it not affect bias as well?

I just put on brembo blanks w HPS and love the new stopping. Cant really comment on dust, but I wash often and dont mind cleaning the wheels if I can stop when I need to.
I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.

I like the OE Pagids for my DD. plenty of stopping power for street/some spirited driving

I use these and Akebono Euros on my customers cars

No just needs a but more effort to brake hard, tasked a little getting used to, but personally I like it better
