Replacing boots on ball joints for suspension parts?

I scored a complete e30 m3 front suspension that was in good condition, but it was sitting around for years. All the ball joints are nice and tight but the boots are done. So i was wondering if bmw or aftermarket sells boots with clips? Specifically trying to do this on the aluminum fca, sway end links and steering outer rod link boots.

I've had the BMP boots, they sort of suck. they don't really seal as there's no clips.

there's a Mercedes boot that you can buy aftermarket and it works on E30 ball joints. I don't have a part # handy though.

Is there a site we could search for that?

          yeah, there's this new site.

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

          ;)

smartass comments aside, I really don't know. I think a guy I know that runs an independent BMW shop tipped me off, but it was years ago.

Thise bmp are kind of like covers, energy suspension makes those too but it would be hard finding the right size. Possible ss zip ties might worl too. I was thinking about it and i could rape other used parts for the boots, but i have no idea how to remove the ring clip at the bottom without damaging the boot, then i'd have to figure out a way to secure since the ring will probably be destroyed when removed

I tackled this recently for the inner ball joint boot of the control arm:

i bought replacement boots for both the tie rods and control arms from a guy in England. They were fairly cheap, arrived in a week and he was great to deal with. I resold them here since it made more sense to me to just replace t he units, but the boots matched up to the new ones.

I'll post if I can find his link
