    Condor speed bushings too stiff for street car?

    Just picked up a tired e30 turbo and amongst the things that need love is the suspension. I've heard great things about the condor speed bushings but are they pretty much just like running solid aluminum units? The car is going to be my daily eventually but I don't mind a stiff/harsh ride as long as it's not over the top. Every bushing and suspension part will be gone over and checked/replaced. The goal with this car is a clean fast street car that handles super well. I've previously owned e36 and e46 m3's and would like to outdo the handling and feel of these cars if possible.

    Its stiff, I have the full kit in my car

    You'll feel every road imperfection and if your wheels are a tiny bit off balance. If you don't mind that go for it.

      Not that big of a deal, seems like there is nothing as cheap and good that can compete. Powerflex and IE are both more for less bushings in their kits

        I'm going to rate transmission mounts as the mount/bushing that adds the most NVH when it is solid. Not sure I'd be opposed to much else.

        I guess RTABs are the only other thing I have that aren't completely solid in one way/shape/form

          I don't think I would mind the vibrations honestly, just makes it feel my racey which is kind of what I'm looking for.

            Too stiff for the street is pretty subjective. I'm fairly conservative so I don't think we should replace rubber bushings with solid pieces of metal or plastic on street cars. That will transmit forces directly to the next weakest link. However, I do think an upgrade from rubber is a good compromise.

                There's different grades of poly that I think are a good compromise. I run a street poly for the rear subframe/RTABS and I think they're great. The rear end is plenty tight and MUCH improved over the cracked/worn out rubber bushings. I would start there and if it's not good enough, they're easy to change out.

                  What brand are they? Powerflex is ok just kind of expensive for bushings

                    in for a response as well. I think AKG makes different grade bushings (75A, 80A, 95A??).

                      I've driven almost 10k on all Condors with no complaints. The one that makes the noise for me is the diff, it really howls. The mounts are stiff feeling but not kidney busting, my wife didn't even really notice outside of the diff noise, haha. I would highly recommend over OEM any day but I never had the polys.

                          I've run blown OEM stuff, new OEM stuff, AKG poly stuff, Powerflex poly stuff, and Condor UHMW stuff

                          new OEM stuff feels plenty tight, doesn't squeak, and doesn't make your car sound like a rattly piece of shit going over what would be a perfect stretch of road in any normal car.

                          the only reason to go Condor everything in a street car is to have something to run your mouth about at meets. It's seriously pointless otherwise.

                            Replacing oem stuff is a pita and I rather upgrade and have a more connected feel. Sure it's a street car but it's already old and noisy anyway, plus I don't care much about comfort in this car. My 135i is the comfortable fast car.

                              Solid mounts might be a little much but I'm definitely using the condor stuff for all the suspension
