I got the E36 Meyle all metal ball joint control arms off BavAuto.com with the M3 bushings. They are 100 bucks for the control arm and 30ish for the bushings. They match up perfectly and i felt a HUGE difference over the stock ones. I went for the full control arms cuz the bavauto guy i talked to said that you cant replace the ball joint in the stock E30 arms, but you can on the E36 meyle ones.sigpic

Meyle is junk. Their control arms last me about 2 years.
You can get replacement ball joints for the e30 control arms, but probably not from the dealer.
You can get good Lemforder ball joints for about $30 each from partstrain.com, but if it were me I'd probably just get a whole new control arm. The labor to have them removed/reinstalled or the hassle of doing it yourself with a press sucks, and you still have used and possibly tweaked control arms. IMO, they are a wear item, especially at only ~$100 a piece with new ball joints already installed.
