Are you serious? Just wondering how stiff those IE springs really are...Originally posted by jwebI actually forgot to tell you that after I rode in your car two fridays ago, I was in bed the whole weekend with a back ache. :POriginally posted by hamann318isIE 3 with Konis on full soft, good enough of a ride. A bit rough, but I've had no one say it's uncomfortable when riding with me.

Only joking. It's bumpy, but I had trouble telling a difference when I just completed the job. Granted, I hadn't driven the car in a week. They are stiff, but they are progressive which def helps the ride.Originally posted by Jared KAre you serious? Hey guys , i have a set of H&r race springs , you guys think i could run them with Bilstein sports ? or do you guys think i'll blow the bilsteins ?
or what other shocks would be best for this application ?
I mostly drive on the street .

contrary to what the entire board tells you, bilsteins can support up to ~800 lb springs. Not for lifetime, but they can do it. Some club racers run Bilsteins just fine.
And a shock dyno pic:

Interesting charts - they're for Bilstein HDs, but correct me if I'm wrong - aren't Bilstein HDs and Sports the same, valving-wise, just set up for different ride heights?
Thanks,Comment

This is correct. Bilstein Sports share the valving, the shock is just shorter.Originally posted by Low Level E30Interesting charts - they're for Bilstein HDs, but correct me if I'm wrong - aren't Bilstein HDs and Sports the same, valving-wise, just set up for different ride heights?

So is the H&R race or IE Stage3 with Koni adjustables a descent daily driver set up?? Could a car equipped with that suspension make a long road trip descently comfortable?
and can someone throw up a picture of an H&R race or IE stage 3 equipped car?? To see what the drop is on itComment

Comfort levels are purely subjective.Originally posted by propcarSo is the H&R race or IE Stage3 with Koni adjustables a descent daily driver set up?? Could a car equipped with that suspension make a long road trip descently comfortable?

And search for pictures, lots of people have IE 3's/H&R Race.Comment

Ok. I mean Im used to having a really rough ride... my GLi is totally slammed with only a little bit of suspension travel. So I kind of want more comfort and better handling due to better suspension geometry.Originally posted by RobOriginally posted by propcarSo is the H&R race or IE Stage3 with Koni adjustables a descent daily driver set up??
