H&R or m3 springs?

I am gonna be gettin some new springs/shocks soon. I have decided on Bilstein sports for the shocks, but am undecided on springs. H&R sports are $255/set and m3 springs can be had for $80/set. Are the H&R Sports a "superior" set to the m3 springs? I wont be autox-ing much if at all, just like to have a little sporty suspension and ride a little lower than stock.

Personal experience, yes, H&R are better by far. A lot of the guys here like the Ground Control, I dunno bout them. I have H&R / Bilstein sports now, and had the M3 springs on my previous car. H&R is def. better.

The M3 springs aren't too much different from the IS springs. I'd go with H&R given the choice.

if youre not looking to get much of a drop and want to still stay comfortable go for the m3, i love the feel of my brothers m3, its the perfect rate, comfortable, but still definitely stiff enough, now if you want something rediculous talk to bryson, getting a ride in his car in the smoothest of roads with make your teeth chip and your stomach turn

Well the thing is, I can get the m3 springs for less than $100 shipped. H&R sports are $255 + shipping the cheapest I can find em unless I get em used (which I wouldnt mind doing actually ;) so if anybody has some, let me know and I will see what I can do) I just need to think, do I really wanna spend the extra $160 on H&R's? I have bilstein sports and m3 springs on my eta right now and I like it. Not too stiff, but stiff enough for in town "hard" cornering so I am leaning towards the m3 springs unless I can get used H&R sports.

You can find used H&R Sports for around $125, I know new from most places they are less than $200, I don't know where you are shopping for them at.

I'd get the H&R springs, I think anything over $75 is way too much for M3 springs. You're still going to get that 4X4 look with the M3 springs. They most likley are going to have over 100K on them. I sold my old ones for $30 a while ago.

Where can you get H&R Sports for less than $255? I was looking at Ireland Engineering for that price. If I can find em cheaper... it would be MUCH better for me. Especially used :)

It really depends on what you want, a decent ride with decent handling, or a decent ride with great handling. Seriously for agressive driving, the M3 stocks are just too soft. You won't miss that diff in money down the road, but you will miss the ride if you go with the M3 springs.
