I use a weird looking contraption that I made from some all thread and a harmonic balancer puller. I bet one of those long wood clamps, as someone mentioned above, would work great.
Yeah, I think that would have worked well.

    I used two of these:

A bolt with fat washers to hold it together and through the control arm, then a flat metal bar across the top. Then bolted down.

I like that idea. I'll be stealing it for next time.

It worked surprisingly well. I was upset I didn't try it earlier.

I'm thinking they are all just slightly differently sized, plus the variance in the control arm.

There is no fucking way mine was sliding on.

were they standard e30 cabs? or offset, solid m3 cabs? the m3 cabs were extremely stiff and no amount of pushing would get them on.

so did I, but being as I was doing it laying down, it was a pain in the ass to get my weight behind it for a good push. Nutbusting pain in the ass, next time I make the damn contraption.....
I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...

I used a two ton press that was bypassing hydraulic fluid (it was right at its 2 ton limit) in a floor mounted press to get my m3 offset solid CAB's on.

No way its going on with human power.

Are we talking about putting the bushing into the lollipop or putting the control arm into the bushing?

Bushing into the lollipop needs a press or careful hammering. Control arm into bushing requires some force too, but could be done by hand.

It would have taken a very strong person.

I was sliding m3 solid offset bushing onto the CA. It was already in the lollipop.

Here is a diagram of the contraption I made:

Just play around with it until you find something that works. I got lucky and returned the eyelet bolts, in total a 6 dollar tool that saved me a lot of time. (after I'd already wasted a few hours)

Thanks. Someone PM'd me asking how I did it, and I honestly don't have a lot of knowledge to share on here so it was nice to be able to help someone else out for once. (hopefully)

Thanks for all the help r3v.
