    Anyone else rubbing on this?

I've whacked this lip/stud a couple times. Makes a pretty annoying noise.

Is anyone else low enough to rub on this crap? Next time I've got time I'm gonna pull both front wheels and hammer that lip over flat where the tire can strike it.

No damage to either front tire, just little marks on the surface of the rubber you wouldn't ever notice unless you knew what you are looking for.

Both time's I've hit it were on really rough bumpy roads hauling ass.

if you had shorter springs, your perches wouldn't be slammed all the way down....

and if I didn't have the perches adjusted all the way down as low as they would go the car wouldn't be slammed all the way down either...

I don't see how your above statement has any bearing in the context of this thread.... ?

i thought you were talking about the adjusting collar lip, but nevermind. if you had an inch shorter spring, the collar could be an inch higher and overall ride height would remain the same in the front, fyi.

                  you need stiffer springs

and your car will probably handle like shit being that goddamn slammed and mexican ghetto ride height.... ridin on bumpstops all the time. good luck. ricer.

Jordan's rates are plenty stiff, he just has huge tires. I am pretty sure he never bottoms out. My car is close to as low as him and I have soft springs and it takes a lot to bottom out.

I definately don't bottom out. The camber plates give me plenty of real suspension travel. Obviously I'm not bottoming out if I manage to slam the tire against the unibody.

um, Teej, i don't see the comparison is that valid as you have progressive and GC's have linear. Your springs stiffen as they compress, versus ours which don't.

His constant rate is still stiffer than my springs stiffest rate. If mine don't bottom, I doubt his does.

And slamming into the unibody is really good for handling...

I'd rather have undersized boys like Andre as opposed to big ole tires (if Teej is right) when slammed.

another solution is to park the "THE CLEANEST, well modded e30 on CarDomain" and try to win some trophies at carshows, as opposed to driving it recklessly on the streets and finding out how much your FORM precedes the FUNCTION!

lol. Well TJ is right about the front tires, they are a e36 size. 225/45R17.

245/40R17 will be all around soon, and should not rub up front on that shit anymore. Either way I'm gonna fold that lip over and break the copper stud off for more clearance.

and Heeter. Its just a car.
