MK 1 E30, still too high?

Hi, I have a prefacelifted E30 320i, with a complete 325i rear axle.
I chaged the the shocks in front and rear to TA-Technix sport (yellow ones), and it got new original mounts in front. It also got some lowering 40mm springs in the back, and 60mm ones in the front. But the car is still too high.
Is there any way to get it lower especially in the back?
I know that the prefacelifted E30 has a higher distance from under the rear fender to the center of the wheel, but should'nt it be possible to have the rear tires at least "fill out" the space over the wheel?

It should settle a bit after driving for a while. Also, you can remove the rear spring pads to get it about 15mm lower in the back.

The best solution would be to get lower springs (H&R Race will be REALLY low, H&R Sport will be pretty low). Just remember that if you have shitty roads, you don't want to be too low. Also, the trailing arm suspension on e30s will give you excessive camber if you are low. So you'll wear out tires pretty quickly.

I think he means you're tires are slightly stretched, so they look a little smaller. Also, the aspect ratio is very low, which gives you a shorter side wall. The stock tire size (US) is 195/65-14 and it looks like you have a 215/40-16. So your tires are 1.2 inches SHORTER in diameter than stock. Also, your sidewall is ~32% shorter than stock. I again. Thank you for your answers. I looked at your Klaus thread, where you installed the H&R Sport rear springs, but it is still kinda high. Dont you think?
I know it will eat my tyres, but that is a choice i am willing to take.
Next time I will get some tyres with a little bit more profile on (higer).

If i remove the spring pads in the rear, do I really get it lowered 15 mm? Is there any bad things about it?

The e30's built before 7/87 have higher rear wheel arches, so it looks like they are sitting higher.
I have had my spring pads out on my Spec e30 for years, does not seem to be a problem.

The tires are a big visual issue. That is the size tire you would run on a 17" wheel, to keep the rolling diameter as close as possible to stock.
For 16" the proper tire is 225/45

Nope. For that car and my intent to make it OEM+ it's perfect.

My other E30 is lower, but it was built for a different purpose.
