    sways or strut braces

i just lowered my car and want to get some more suspension/chassis stiffness. do you recommend sways or strut braces first for autocrossing??

Here is what I would recommend:

    1) Custom valved shocks for your spring rate
    2) Adjustable sway bars

IMO strut braces are over-rated. If you want chassis stiffness, weld in a rollbar.

they serve entirely different purposes - but swaybars are going to make a bigger difference than strut braces.

great advice, swaybars are a must. the car will handle so much smoother in and out of the tight corners and wide hi-speed turns.

i recommend you go with the larger ones, most ppl would say they wish they had gone with something thicker.

A nicely fabbed 4-pt that is welded in place with removeable harness and diagonal is completely liveable on a street car. I'm not talking about a cage.

sure, great, as long as you don't have friends, a dog, or anything like that. :p

That's not true. I'm not a big fan of thick roll bars at all. It's better to get stiffer springs than thick rollbars in my opinion.

it depends on the surface you're driving on, but yea thicker roll bars are definitely not always better.

20mm in the front isn't that big. if you want a 20mm sway bar just pull one off of any 325is and i think even the stock 325 sway bar is 20mm. also the stock cabrio sway bar is 21mm in the front

just go real big and get the IE 25mm adjustable for the front
                      what exactly is sigworthy
