what size slick is that? I have to run a DOTR can not go slicks, so it is an R6 or RA1 for me.

I have had so much luck with both the R6 and the RA1 the only other tire I really consider is the BFG R1 but that is for 6hr or longer enduro.

Wow, those are really fat tires, really nice. Any issues with the front wheels rubbing when you are at maximun lock?

Yeah those look pretty bitchin'. I dig stupid wide sticky 15" tires on E30s.

I did on the outside of the back of the front fenderwells. A small hammer and some love took care of that ;-)

Dayamn those are freakin wide tires. That car needs some flares or something it looks weird with the tires sticking out so much.

Cool car..... I think. Function over form I suppose. Personally, I could not race it like that. Too messy for me.

One thing that no one is discussing is just how low you are. I run 5 lugs with 8.5 ltw on the rear. I am as low as I can bend I run 245-30's. No rubbing and I tuck the entire sidewall. When I can find a set of flares I like I really want to run a 265.

good point there, im not planning on going that low actually.

lets say 1" between the tires and the arches.

265/630/17 Dunlop Slick. Dropped down low (around 75mm lower than stock in the rear) We could fit a 290 under the car but the aspect ratio is just too tall, and the front rims aren't wide enough to support the 265 up front as of yet.

I do have IE flares now, but that is only so I can go with a wider tire nest year. I had aggressive roller fenders before and had no rub. I am in need of a new diff and I feel it is due to the new grip but I am only basing this on how I feel the rearend is handling now compared to last year and this year. Otherwise, I love them and cant wait to go wider all around. I did disco the reay sway bar. it handles much bettern now.

And BTW, no stagering. I run the same size front and rear.
