        Ditto.

But they aren't known for great looks. If anyone gets them, don't expect compliments on looks from everyone. But they sure are hella light and really nicely priced. :D

And 17" ones will fit with VW offset and 15mm spacers.....and look badass.

BBS RX in silver with yoko es 100's. = wayy too basic for me Jarvis. No thanks.

The $..Well I paid 1300 to help out this summer with my car. I only made 2200 working as college work study job while living on campus and taking classes all summer.

I'm an intern right now making very good money while earing credits and 2 grades. (a 2 semester business internship).
In may after I graduate college I have a full time job waiting in the business mgmt field with a base salary of 30G.
I'll be doing the full time job while going to Grad school for my MBA starting in May as well. I'm looking forward to it...
That's how I'm going to afford the rims, brakes, turbo, rest of the body kit, etc.
Having no college loans to pay off also helps out alot.

          Thanks for your suggestions

Ryan; I would never intend on autocrossing with HRE wheels. If I was to auto cross I'd run my bottle caps mounted on fresh falken anzis summer tires (spelling is off) I heard those were good in 14"..good yet cheap.
I plan on going in April.

Again thanks for the suggestions..I found some to be of good help..

If by basic you meant "incredibly good-looking" then yes, I'd have to agree with you.

I still don't understand why you're going with those insanely overpriced, half-decent-looking wheels and not doing a 5-lug swap...

Whoa people, people! Dont rip on him cause he has wild gobs of money! Okay, okay, so his tastes are a little different than some of ours. So what? If he likes it, great. Whatever floats your boat. And, though we all rag on people whos parents buy their shit (i admit, i do it too), you cant tell me that if your dad wanted to buy you a turbo, new rims/tires and a new tranny youd turn him down. Dont even lie to yourself and say you would.

Basically, get whatever you want. Its not my money.

Madonna once took a chance to be different and she became famous and got to kiss Brit on national TV. Dennis rodman seems to have his own taste too. And both these bitches make more than all of us put together. More famous etc.

So who cares if Jim has gold wire 16*12 euro stretched skins on the back and crager 3.5 drag wheels in the front. Who cares? What if he had real Hartge 16*7.5? Someone out there would still bash him.

And what is this with "you have too much money? It is your mommy and daddy's money crap" Who cares. If he really had too much money his name would be Gates. All this is, is basic jealousy. Why care if he wants to spend $5500.00 on wheels you don't like. The source of funding is not of importance.

Like someone said in another babbling thread.

I will give you compliments on being original here and getting those amazing wheels. They do look awsome. And I am assuming you will never sell the car at least not for a very long time because it is doubtful you will get the money out of the car but hey if we looked at our cars that way we would have never bought cars and invested time and money into them. However, I find it foolish to spend so much money on wheels when you can invest that 5K into something that will compound and in 20 30 years would be much nicer than a set of rims you get 1/4 of your money back. Just my opinion just as you posted your opinion of your choice of wheels you are wanting to get.

Jim. This thread is still going on, so I assume your still thinking about these wheels, or other wheels.

If I were you, I wouldn't give a shit about wheels right now.

The tranny swap, turbo'd M20, etc should be your focus! They will make a much bigger difference than wheels. You already have aftermarket wheels, so leave them be until you get done with more important issues and modifications.

Maybe after you get that work done, you decide you wanna go down a different road. Like genuine Alpinas (which are quite costly, and would go with your ride) or some other wheels such as Hartge, or I don't know.

You got a classic restored car, with a 5spd and Turbo'd M20 in the works. It'd be foolish to get some bling-bling HRE wheels really. They don't suit the style, neither do those OZ wheels you have now.

Look at your car, you want an overall theme. I'd say go with BBS silver wheels (not highly polished) or hartge or alpina.....

but before you worry about wheels, get that turbo on and tranny swapped. You might not even care about wheels when those things get done!

well i must agree 5500 for wheels for an e30 is a bit extreme, but i must also admit i am very attached to my e30. Althought there are some damn nice iforged wheels too. I like them better than hre. kineses has hot wheels also. BBS lm's own though, not sure what the cost of them is, but they do exist in 17 inch and four lug for e30's. I have the same oz's and they were bought so long ago. I had no knowledge then but at this point i workin on an engine so i am stuck with with them. so i know where you are. but i'd do a bit more wheel research before i dropped 5500 dude you can def. find better/ cheaper. why spend more money than you have too, just cause you have it, doesn't mean you have to spend it. get cheaper wheels an s50 and a supercharger it'll be more fun:)

                                So true indeed.

If that's what you want, then get it.

I'm going to post to the web on my site my ENTIRE PLAN for my car. Exactly how I want it.

If anyone has a problem, sure, I'll consider it, but it's my name that's written on my paycheck last time I looked.
