well, obviously they look similar. But I think the 14"'s look puny, and want to see if visually 15" suits my taste. Especially without center caps, cuz that's what i'd run.

I like e30evolution's wheels, but there's not really a straight on side shot. I just want to be sure I won't miss the extra diameter later.

just looking for as many examples and pictures as I can see. e9nine wheels are pimp too. 8)

    here's some comparisons:

      FOUND 'EM

Surfin through E30.de, found perfect pictures!

      :D Those look great.

As far as the my 16"'s go......they might as well be 17" wheels to fill the wells. (I love Kopis, but they are $$$ and heavy as well)

But these 15" look better than the Borbets for my car and the mods I want to do. I have the euro plate filler, looking to paint my spoiler black, pick up a IS lip and some ellips. I'm going for a stock looking car, that has certain enhancements. So OEM wheels would be a good idea.

Borbets would be better for someone with more extreme desires. (PO bought them, not me) Plus, i think 15" would be better suited for autocross. (And 225/50VR15 ES100's  )

They do look big, but the description says they are "7x15 original BMW Kreuzspeichen mit 205/50/15"

Maybe it's the lower profile that makes them seem larger...... I dunno, I like them.

Am I the only one who does a double take when I see 15" baskets? I'm so used to seeing 14's for the past 14 years of my life, they always make me pause.

Robert, it sounds like we have very similar plans for our cars. A lot of parts you are planning to do or already have I either have them on order or sitting here in my basement waiting for the snow to melt. Funny that they are the same year, model, and color too. What was your build date?

15" basketweaves are very common in Europe, especially in Germany where that car appears to be from. Most of the E30's that I've seen pics of are running either 14" steel wheels/hubcaps, 14" bottlecaps or 15" basketweaves.

yeah, I've seen the 16" 'weaves on M3's before. It'd be much cooler if those were 15", cuz I love that look.

Those are 15x7 bbs et 24 basketweaves. too costly to do a 5 bolt conversion for the most part in Germany. With a 60mm drop they look like that. On top of that most people myself included use a 205 55 15 which looks fat on a wheel.

I do have 225 50 15 on one of my cars but they look too big.

60mm drop? The front of the car doesn't even look lowered.
