i had to make them pretty.

Well.. since i cracked one of my borbets, i will be riding on stock until i get a new wheel. The finish on the wheels was pretty crappy so i decided to spruce them up a bit.

First i pressure washed the hell out of them, then I uses a 500 grit sand paper to smoth out a couple of small ntoches here and there. Then i taped off the rubber, and primed the rim. I sprayed the lips with VHT silver caliper paint (this stuff rocks!). After i let the lips dry, i taped off the lips (try and use a single peice of tape, or some other kind of masking) and then sprayed the centers with Duplicolor high performance wheel paint(its the only dark color they have).

I would have removed the tires and re-did them a proper way. But i dont have time and money to do that. So this was just a simple fix to stop the corosion. When i get my borbets back on, i plan on blasting them and then also powdercoating the center and polishing the lips. So they will look 100x's better.

Sigh.. my car feels like a death trap on 14's and crappy tires. I miss my borbet's :(

Do you have to buy that on the internet or are there places around town to pick it up?

It's crazy how much a set of rims can change the look of a car. I like your license plate!
