What's the Perfect size for an IX with these considerations?
17"x7.5 (Or 7 if 7.5 is too aggressive)
1.5" HR lowered suspension
225 tire *
No bottoming out/rubbing.
I was peeping the Beyern Mesh's but they are all ET27 which is too low for IX.
Great thread so far, thanks all so much for all the info.
Hey guys just got a quick question for you regarding wheels on an ix. I ordered motegi sp10s in flat black size 17x7 et 40. Im pretty sure these will fit almost perfect, but my question lies with the lugnuts. The PO had wheel locks on and i dont have the key so i need replacement ones just wondering what size ill need. Also whats the size of the hub on a 90ix i want to see if i need rings or not. Anyways cant wait to get the new shoes on!!!

'90 BMW 325iX - Sterling Silver/Houndstooth sport(5-speed converted)

thanks man, just ordered up the centering rings. also any chance you know the lug-nut size as well? it would really help me out im just trying to get everything to my shop so i can be ready to go without having to wait for parts.
I'm running 17x7" ET38 ASA AR1 wheels with 225/50/17 RE760s on my '88 325ix with Konis and H&R Sport springs. They fit great and the speedo is dead accurate, it reads a few MPH fast with the stock size tires. With 10mm spacers, the outside edge of the tire barely rubs the inside of the wheel well on the rear driver side only, so you should be fine with anything more than ET30.
Those 7x17 ET35+205/50, they fit perfectly, under Ix.....Only front tyres take catch up plastic inner fender, but sooo little.

Will these wheels fit. What kind of tyres fit those wheels+can roll under car
-16 "x 8.0" 4x100/ET20
-15” x 8.0” 4x100/ET0
-15” x 9.0” 4x100/ET0
Fit in any way, no matter whether those come out or touch the fender.
As long as the fit to turn. I am grateful for the answer

First ones with 195/45 or 205/45 and some rear arch modification. The rest, not a chance.
No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
No spacers. The tires are 9 inches wide and are real close to the strut towers on both my lowered and stock height iX but clear it. I misspoke and offset is 42mm but it still clears without problems. I think you might be able to fit 17x8.5" wheels if you had an offset of about 30mm. Any higher and you will start rubbing the struts. You might still rub the frame rails, but anything much lower than 30mm on an 8.5" wheel will rub frame rails at full lock.

These are just ESM's. There 16x7.5 with a et35 offset. I'm not sure if they still make them anymore though, i think there all 16x9 with et20?
the front is practically flush and the back is real close, could use a 10mm spacer to be perfect.
(and yes that is an IX)
