    Help me choose a wheel

I am considering the following wheels for my Diamondschwartz 89' 325ix 2-door. I am using the stock 15" basketweaves with snows for the winter so this set will be used for the good weather. I wont be tracking the car but I would like to find a light 17" rim. I am able to purchase the BBS rims at wholesale pricing which makes them look even more attractive to me. Here are my choices I've narrowed it down to.

BBS RGR Bright Silver 17 x 7 et 38mm 16.3 lbs my cost $474.50 each.

BBS RGR Diamond Black 17 x 7 et 38mm 16.3 lbs my cost $474.50 each.

Alpina (Kopi replica) 17 x 7.5 et 35mm 20.1 lbs price $804 all 4 shipped to my door.

But I'd say the bright silver RGRs.

RG-Rs are an excellent wheel though.

Yeah, I'm agreeing with what you said, and commenting on RG-Rs. :D

Run RWD E30 offsets. iX hubs are only 5-7mm further in, none of those setups would look very aggressive.

seems like the huuuge cost difference would be enough to get some nice rubber on the kopis and have some cash left over. if price is no object get the bbs'

What color is your car? RGRs are my pick, but I dunno what color I would put on your car.

I was in the same shoes as you this summer. I had to choose between real Volk TE37's (13lbs, $1700 for the set) or fakes (14lbs, $500 for the set). I chose the fakes because its silly to put rims that are half the value of the car when you really think about it.

The Kopis aren't really like though.

And, in my opinion, an iX is going to need to be sitting pretty low to make 17's look good.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

I agree.. to a point. for a 7" wide wheel you'll probably want to be at about ET 28. for a 7.5" wheel you'll want to be around ET32. you don't want to go too low or you'll have trouble rubbing in the rear, even with stock sized tires. I'm currently using a 24mm offset with a 7" wheel. with a 10mm spacer on the BBS you could run a wider tire without worrying about the fenders.

So since the BBS wheels have a width of 7" and an ET of 38 will I have rubbing issues?
