    Tire: Bridgestone Potenza RE750
    Size: 205/40-17
Grip: Very confidence inspiring, I can push harder and harder, and the threshhold doesn't jump out and surprise you, it creeps up to the limit slowly enough that I can realize it soon enough not to cross the limit line.
No experience with wet grip though, it never rains here.

Tire life/feedback: They are quiet, but my tire wear is void because of my camber issues. With the kind of camber I have, and a proper alignment, I am seeing belts at 6500 miles. Had them flipped, 1000 miles too late, but they are flipped now, I can see belts on the outsides of the tires.
With proper alignment and a good suspension setup, these can probably see a total of 25k miles.

I think I've seen some guys rolling on 225s on the basketweaves. IIRC Denis even had 245s on his. Not that it looked nice and wasnt complete overkill... but yeah.

I have 225/50-14 hoosiers on my 14" 'weaves. not exactly a street tire, but they fit just fine.

don't think you will find any good street tires in a 225 for a 14" wheel though.

Follow up on my 225/45zr16 Hankook rs2s.

Quite impressed with how long they have lasted! I have put 10k on them so far, albeit quite a bit of freeway driving, and they still look to have another 3-4k left in them. Compared to the substantially less-grippy and more expensive es100s I had before, this is quite good.

They break away progressively and give you lots of warning with a very distinct chirp. Unlike the falken azenis, they seem to generate more grip as the temperature increases. This is especially noticable while braking. From what I have read, the falkens are best when cold and the grip is inversely proportional to temperature.

I would go with rt615s next, since I hear they are better tires; however, their tire size selection is poor in comparison to the hankooks. The 215/45/16 azenis OD is too small, for my tastes, so I'm planning on going with 245/45/16 RS2s with my next tire change, despite being almost overkill for my 7.5" wheels.

I am running Falken Ziex 512's all around...
-The front's are 215/40/16 on 7.5in wide wheels.. Stretched FTW
-The Rear's are 225/40/16 on 9in wide wheel's.. Stretched FTW

They seam to perform pretty well, although i am used to toyo proxies.

Im currently running BF Goodrich GForce Sports in 215/50/16. Ive only had em on for <1000 miles but so far they are worlds apart from the shitty 14" all seasons I had on prior. Confidence on the road has increased ten fold when Im really pushing it. Quiet on the road at all speed but well see how they sound when theyve got a few k on em. Cant comment on wear much as they have so little milage.

looking for some tires for my bottlecaps as I have some cupping issues on my current ones.

Just need a good, quiet all season tire, and it'd help if they were decent in the snow. So far, I've gotten quotes for $370 for some Yokohamas, $320 for some Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring, and $280 for some BF-Goodrich primera.

Love them. I drive daily, no auto-x, or track, but I do drive hard on the street and these things stick very, very well. Dry traction has been incredible, beyond the limits of the suspension for sure. Wet weather traction has also been excellent. Road noise is a bit more than I would like, but I usually have something going on the Alpine, so it doesn't bother me. It's not loud mind you, just more than what I would like.

The only real question remaining is how will the last. I've only had them for ~3K miles so I can't say yet, but they do seem to be wearing well.
I wish they made them in 15", would love to try them

So what is the latest on Toyo T1-R, good or bad? With track use in mind.

                            Hi,
Looking for a stock 195/65r14 three season tire for my IS. I have a set of studded snows so the tires will not see winter/snow ever. I want something SAFE, good in the wet, QUIET, reasonably priced and something that will last FOREVER.

I don't need a $200/each tire - simply something that is a good, solid tire that will last a while.

                            Any advice would be appreciated.

                            Thanks,
                            TJW

I don't think it's possible to have a tire that will last FOREVER and give you anything but HARD Compound....you have to sacrifice something.

Sorry... I meant that I don't need something chewing gum soft that lasts 20K miles.

maybe I'll just have better luck buying any old random Michelin or whatever 4-season radial. The car just needs shoes to get around town in... not to be flashy or show off....
