I would look into the BFG G-Force Sports. I have a couple friends with them and love them.

I don't need a $200/each tire - simply something that is a good, solid tire that will last a while.

      Any advice would be appreciated.

        -$61 each (tirerack.com)
-driven on for about 1000 miles with 1 autox event. they offer loads of grip for the money. could be stickier, but l would buy them again in the future because of price. the only thing that i dont like about them is the super weak sidewalls. i run them at >43psi on the street and they still fold over if i take turns too hard. that is why i probably will go for somthing like an Azenis or RS-2 tire next.

BFG KDW's 215/45/17...i haven't auto-x'd the car yet, but they kick ass in the canyons. i want 225s next if i can fit them. my buddy runs toyo ra1s on his evo and he loves them, it's all he buys. i think they r a little pricey but definitely a good tire

I currently have Yokohama AVS ES100s on my E28...

I don't know if it's just my alignment (I have checked and adjusted once or twice, but I still need to get her in to have it done right), but these tires tramline like fucking crazy. I think it mostly has to do with the directional design of the tires, because both my previous 6 and my dad's current 6 tramlined bad with directional 16's as well. We solved it in both cases by swapping out the front tires for a size smaller - 205/55/16 instead of 225/50/16 - and it helped dramatically. I think I'm gonna do that with my 5, but instead I'll just go with 245s out back since they are 8 inch wheels and 205s will look a little small...

Other than the tramlining, they are good street tires. Plenty of grip for my inadequate M30B32, they ride decent with my Bilstein Sport / H&R Sport combo, and they have greatly exceeded their expected mileage so far.

Bad. T1-R's are pretty damn weak compared to, well, everything today. I'm not a fan at all, their track numbers are miserable.

Anyone used Toyo Proxes 4? Good all-season tire, or no?

I'll 2nd that. I've had these tires in a 195/65/14 size on my bottle caps for a month and a half now, and they're great in the dry, great in the wet and give a good ride. I got them to be my all season tires, and so far ( no snow yet of course) they've been better than I thought they were going to be.

                        $62 at tirerack.com, awesome price.

I just bought a set of four Fuzion ZRi 205/40/17 z-rated tires for $232.

                          Delivered.

I ran the Fuzions on my '97 M3 for the last two years, and they're excellent tires. They're much better than the Michelin Pilots I took off.

looking for some 215/45/16 or maybe some 225's. either summer or all season (i live in texas, so snow/wet grip isnt as important as dry)
                                priority:
                                1. dry grip
                                2. tread life
                                3. price
                                4. wet grip
                                5. noise
