    ATS Cups and a question

I found out that my housemate had a set of ATS Cups from his VW that he isn't using anymore so I mounted them up today to see how they looked. The problem is that the bore on the wheels is bigger than the wheel hub. Am I correct in assuming that this makes them unsafe to drive on?

Here are some pics because they make every thread more interesting.

I think those rimz look like ass on any E30! you need to get the hubcentric plastic inserts for them to fit correctly. they arent"unsafe", but they will probably vibrate like crazy, which could turn unsafe!

Rubber looks a little undersized, and maybe the offset is too high?

                    Check out this site: http://www.tunershop.com

They carry these wheels in two sizes, 15x7 (ET 20 & 28 offsets) and 15x8 (ET 18 offset only). I think the wheels Purdue has are the 15x7s with a ET28 offset with undersized tires (195/50s perhaps?)....hence the appearance. That tire size was pretty common on V-Dubs back in the day. As for how these wheels look on an E30, I personally like 'em. Simple, conservative styling much like the E30 itself. I'm not one for flashy 'show off' wheels.

Here's a pic of the 15x8.....dig the dish on this mo-fo....

These would give a serious ur-oh look ;-)

Some of the ugliest wheels ever made. The only people strange enough to like them are the dedicated VW freaks.

tires are too small, and they would look better with black centers, but better than the bottlecaps IMO!

Man, those are definately worse than bottlecaps, and they make your car look really high.

They aren't on my car anymore, I think they made my car look high because the tires didn't fill the wheel wells enough. Oh, and my car is kinda high. they're definately not my first choice in wheels but it was nice to see something other than b-caps on there for a change.
