 Coilovers? If so, which ones?

If not, then no spacers needed. It just barely clears.

Funny thing is, my E36 fitment knowledge is easily 75% as in-depth as my E30 brain matter, which is realistically very powerful. But frankly, just keeping up here is a full time job. Plus, E30 guys are where my heart is, screw the E36 crowd. :pComment

Not too small at all, I'd go as far to say that more E30s are running ~23" tires (usually 205/50/15 or 205/40/17) than the proper stock diameter. Aside from the aesthetic change and almost imperceptible gearing shortening, there is no difference.Comment

I don't have coilovers but I do have bilstein sports with H&R race springs. so it is a low set-up. If you think I might need spacers, do you have any recomendations on some good but not too overlypriced wheel studs?

I love the e30 guys too, its hard not too. I wish I still had mine at times.

 Thanks for all your help!

 Hi Jay,

Thanks for replying to my previous question.

I just purchased the 15mm spacer with longer bolt from ECS Tuning (http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E30-318...cers/ES260065/) It looks like the length of the lug bolt is longer than it is supposed to. It is hitting the hub for both front and rear when tightened properly.

I measured the longer lug bolts and it is 40mm.
 My question is:
 - is 40mm the correct length?
 - is it safe to have it replaced with 35mm?

This is how I measured the lug length:

 Thank you.Comment

You won't need spacers then. Coilovers actually reduce space, hence why I asked. Your setup will be 100% fine with just a basic rear roll.I don't have coilovers but I do have bilstein sports with H&R race springs. so it is a low set-up. If you think I might need spacers, do you have any recomendations on some good but not too overlypriced wheel studs?

Tread surface, on the front wheelwell (fore and aft).

E30s don't like tires much taller than the stock 24", as they were in reality only designed to hold ~23.2" tires in the first place (early E30s ran 195/60/14).

I don't make a habit of recommending anything larger than the stock diameter.Comment

I'd send them right back to ECS. Sounds like they shipped the wrong ones.Hi Jay,
