I wouldn't mind needing a reason to roll my fenders anyways.

What Tires do you rec. for that 235/40/17 size?
    So far ive got
    Hankook Ventus HRII
    T1R
    KDW 2(leaning towards these)

I have 16x7.5 ET20 throwing star reps, H&R sport springs.
Currently running 205/45/16 no prob, used to run 205/50 f and 215/50 r no issues either except slight contact at front between tire and front fender lining at full lock.
Next round I'm thinking 225/45/16, will that be a problem? Right now I can just squeeze a finger between the tire and the strut, so am concerned about that.

Current choices for the 225/45 are Ventus S12 Evo, T1R or FK452. :)

If it was $75ea, then yeah I'd probably go for it.

But then again, if you could get KDW2 235/40s for a similar price, then it's BFG for sure!

225/45/16 should fit just fine with your setup. Hankook makes an S1 and a V12, which one were you shooting for? As for the T1R and FK452, I'd recommend either one.

225/45 and 245/40 are the stock sizes, and fit well. There's a billion tires in those sizes.

You failed to mention how big the wheel is, and I'd need to know the offset too.

will 255-40-17's fit on back? (8.5" m contour on a 328i lowered on h&r sports) there seem to be more options in that size

Thats funny you say that. I just picked up the deal of the month.
I got 4 used kdw 2's with 60-70% tread in 235/40 for 75 dollars DELIVERED. haha. So if they don't fit, which i trust you that they will, then i will just sell them. Thanks for all the help man. Look for some pictures once they get fitted!!

Oo dang got mixed up between S1 and V12, I was referring to the V12, the one here:
                                http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...12_evo_page_10

In my place, the Hankook is cheaper than the T1R and FK452, so that makes it an easier choice.

*EDIT* scratch that, just realized the V12 Evo doesn't seem to be available in 225/45/16 after looking at their site
