Ok so sorry if this has been beaten to death but searching around has brought me back much..

On VW forums, I see all these crazy awesome BBS wheels that I want. Unfortunately i have no VW. So stock BBS rims for VW/Audi, will they fit on my car? Im running euro weaves right now, ET24.

You could measure, but in my opinion if you already have the wheels and his promise that they will fit without rolling...they should be a very good offset (like ET20 or so on the back).

      Just throw 'em on! ;)

Some of the wheels stock on MK2/3 VW's will mount (the 4x100 cars), but many of the aftermarket ones won't without spacers. This is because the stock ones are narrow enough to squeeze by our strut housings, while the aftermarket wheels are usually wider and will crash into our suspensions.

Ok cool. So basically anything OEM to a Volkswagon will work at long as it's correct bolt pattern and within the prescribed offset range of like what 20-35 or so?

Edit: Thanks for the timely response. Very helpful for a retard question.

Basically. The VW's mentioned (save for the VR6's) are 4x100 with the same 57mm centerbore as the E30. Most of their OEM wheels tend to be ET30-38 or so, and at 6.5" wide or skinnier will usually mount to an E30 without a problem.

And it's not a retarded question at all...btw, did you used to own a Ti? I think I remember your username from BF.C or something...

              Quick question...

Say I have a staggered set of wheels 16x7 and 16x8. Now, is it ok if the offsets of the wheels are all the same? eg. 16x7 et25 FRONTS and 16x8 et25 REARS.

From my understanding, if the rears are wider, the offset should be lower.. no? Can I just add a spacer in the rear to remedy this- if so what size? I figured around 10mm would do the trick

              TIA

Ok yeah I believe they will fit fine, I just now need to know what tire sizes you would recommend? So I can begin the tire search. I would rather be told by you guys then somebody at a tire shop that know nothing about e30s etc. Thanks for all the help Mystikal!!!

That's fine. The rears will still stick out more (1/2" more).

Oh, 215/40/16 for the rears for sure. Massive stretch, if any tire will fit without rubbing it will be this one.

If you want an equal stretch on the front, you'd have to go with 195/45/16 or similar. If you don't care about equal stretching and just want good handling, run 215/40/16 all around.

Certain year Mk2 GTI's had really awesome BBS RA's on them. And Audi's as well in a 15x7. Always dirt cheap to on VW forums and locally for some reason.

And yes, I did own a Ti :(. Sold it and started funding this retardedly out of hand E30 addiction I've acquired. I don't remember you on Bf.c though.

Should work fine, especially since the iX hubs are around 6mm further out than RWD cars (which makes basically all VW wheels work).

Ah, RA's. Double check the offset on them (a search on Vortex should answer you quickly) and I can tell you if they work 100%.

I don't post much on Bf.c, but I did frequent the classifieds and the Ti section earlier this year before I bought the M3. I was shopping for a Hellrot Ti Sport, and somehow ended up with this beast.

Hi. I'm kinda back here again. I wanted 16" wheel, but after a bit of local research, I found that over here 17" wheels and tires cost less than 16's. So my only worry now is whether to go 205, 215 or 225. i think (plz correct me if i'm wrong) 205 and 215 will work ok on 7" wheel, while 225 will require 7.5" wheel ?.

205 and 215 tires are the same price here, 225 will be few$$$ more, but I'm will to pay extra for extra grip (if that will give me extra grip, otherwise i dont care). Initially I'll get just whatever cheap tires they will give me with the wheels, later i'll get something decent.

In each case, what ET wheels I need to get (pre facelift e30 coupe), ideally without rolling fenders, but if i have to roll a bit to fit 225's than that's ok aswell...

                                Thanks in advance...
