Yeah...that's not right. Something on your car is bent and/or otherwise tweaked, there should be a lot of clearance with that setup. It's basically the same as a stock 15" weave/tire.

You could get the fenders rolled, but again, it shouldn't rub in the first place.

not sure what spacers to run to make them clear.
yes some pulled/rolled fenders are in order
15mm front, nothing in the rear.

You'll be surprised how easy that setup is to fit on an early car.

Just a note though, if you want 100% safe fitment stretch on 225/35/17 tires for the rears. The 245's will require some rolling, etc.

Forgot to mention that I am running a KW 60/40 suspension. Does that change things?

              thanks Jay

Well I did notice that the car is dumped in your signature. Start to look at where it is rubbing, if it's actually higher in the fender well and not the fender lip itself you need a stiffer and/or higher suspension.

You're welcome, don't feel like you owe me anything; I enjoy this for some sick reason.

You can fit the 225's on with a slight rear fender roll, but I will tell you this: The 215/45/16 RT-615 will be faster and overall more fun to drive hard on than any of the 225/45/16 tires made currently. Just some advice.

It rubs on the fender lip at full lock (and 3/4 lock if not perfectly flat ground)...

It at this point has pulled the lips on both of my fenders... :(

nice i will go with the 215's then. any recomondations on tires. i drive pretty hard on the twisties so i would like something with good grip. i have conti's on my e46 m3 but i hate how they loose all grip when it gets below 45 degrees out. so i wonder if i should go with a performance all season instead of summer tire?

Jesus. Okay it sounds like your car is so low (and perhaps soft) that you're contact the fenders during turns. Of note my E30 is slammed with 225/50/15 (same height as your tires, yet much wider and also on lower offset wheels) and I have never touched the front fenders. And I've driven the living shit outta that thing.

I'd suggest running shorter tires if you want to keep the suspension. 205/45/16 or 215/40/16.

When I mentioned "RT-615" I was referring to the Falken Azenis RT-615, the fastest street tire out at the moment. It's available at www.discounttiresdirect.com.

No all-season will provide anything near the feedback and responsiveness of the RT-615s, but yes they will like cold temperatures more. But, there really are no 215/45/16 (nor 225/45/16) all-seasons currently available. I'd suggest just getting the RT-615s and taking it a little easier in the cold.

I KNow I asked allready for Borbet A's but according to Steve at Tunershop they wont be available 'till Spring....

...So I am switching to Azev A's Staggered 16x7.5 and 16x9. Looking for correct offset and some tire size recomendations if you can, thanks :)

Also, any recomondation for winter tires to be mounted on 15" euro basket weaves... I'll be mostly in the rain but head up the mountain whenever there is snow to play in.

ET20 front, ET15 rear. If they offer ET25 rear (I don't think they do, but in case) get those. Before I recommend tire sizes, do you want them to be stretched or do you want the biggest tires that will fit in the fenders?

For the winters, you have a few great choices. The best all around is the Goodyear GW3, it's H rated and available in the desired 195/60/15 (narrower than stock for better snow traction). If you want to spend less cash, look locally for the Viking Snowtech. It's the perfect tire for mostly dry/wet driving, as it has better traction in those circumstances as well as more capable handling than more aggressive winter tires. For most North American winters, I recommend this tire.
