I'm thinking of getting the enkei rpf1 in 15x7 too. Just don't know which offset, the ET 35 or ET41. Or which spacer thickness to get. I plan on going with 205/60/15 tires. But if I can go 225/50/15 without rubbing, I would go that route. Bearmw, have you upgraded your wheels yet? Did you have to roll your fenders?

nice pic...Rings? I'm guessing to make up the difference from 66.1 to 57.1 in the center bore? Would I find those at any tire store, or do you have a reccomendation? And since they're gonna start out as winter wheels, clearance issues are not good; would you reccomend a spacer in front for those wheels on an e30? If so what size? If it matters, car is a 1985 eta (prod. 4/85) and has bilstein HD's, stock springs and fenders. ThanksComment

I have not read the whole thread but I have to believe that certain wheels have been discussed before. Weaves, euro weaves, ronal ls, etc.I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.Comment

I'm currently riding on BBS RX's with 25mm spacers all around. Wheels are 16x7 et35, with 205/50 tires. I'm looking to possibly buy SSR Professor MS1R wheels and have a lot of choices to make as far as size and offset go. I would like to go for 17x7.5 and 17x8.5. Currently my fronts outside fill the arches just right. I need the spacers up front for the BBK (massive race kit) and the coilovers I'm running. In the rear I could possibly get away with a 10mm spacer with the current wheels, but they tuck about an inch more than I'd want. So do these values look way off:
front: 16X7 et10 becomes 17x7.5 et10 with 225/40 R17? Can run 4° of camber. If the wheels do not clear the BBK as is I may still use a spacer to get to this offset.
rears: 16x7 et10 becomes 17x8.5 et10? or et5? with 245/40? that way I use some space in the wheel well (about 20mm of space right now) and the other half fills up the wheel arches?
Can I trust the BBS and SSR offsets matching up? Just don't want to end up with a ton of poke or still have to run huge spacers.Comment

Cheap universal 5mm front spacer is enough, you may even get to use your stock bolts depending on the wheel design.Comment

Overall, those don't "fit" E30s.Comment

Just starting clean, I'd suggest +40 F +28 R. Leaves you lots of space for spacers up front and will sit the rears in a good spot for wide tires. 215/40 F 245/35 R (or substitute 235/40 for more choices).Comment

Alrighty, since the BBS thread gets no action, I'll post this here =]
Okay, stupid question. I bought a set of these BBS'es, and was wondering a few things about them.
5x120, et11, 7x14. With an adapter for 4x100, would it even be worth running on an e30? It'd be +9 for the offset with an 20mm adapter correct? Would that be okay with a 7" wheel?Comment

Just for a point of record, I am now running 225/60/14 (approx. .65" taller overall diameter than stock, and almost the same height as the 205/60/15 which is .05" taller than that) on stock bottle caps (I believe they are 35mm offset) with 15mm spacers as my street tires. They work great (my fenders are slightly rolled at all four corners) with just slight contact in the front fender liners when turning sharply at parking lot speeds. These tall sidewalls make the car ride great, which is an accomplishment with the stiff strack suspension and unpadded race seats. I also think it looks cool as hell with stock wheels and fenders full of rubber. Not the best handling setup, but with track alignment it does ok and it's a great way to have a car set up for track events but still ride well on the street! Rockin it old school with "wide 60's" (no I did not mount them with raised white letters out).Comment
