Hey Jay, I'll bet this has been asked before, but how well does a corrado steelie fit on an e30? I think the offset is +35, but the wheel is only 6 inches wide.

And if it does fit, would I be able to fit a 205 or a 215 on it?

Yeah, flush for sure. And I know the dish, I've seen 'em. My 18x9 ET22 RZ's may have something to say though. ;)

Yeah, it should fit just fine. Anything bigger than a 205 will require a spacer most likely.

You also really, really don't want anything bigger than a 205 on a 6" wheel. Hell, a 195 is already enough.

For the front, you can go with: 195/45, 205/45, 205/40
For the rear, you can go with: 205/45, 215/40

If it were me, I'd probably get the 195/45 up front with the 205/45 in the rear, just for a reasonably even stretch and the easiest clearance. But any of the other combos will work, just make sure the outside diameter is pretty close (and if either has to be bigger, make it the rear). If tire price is a priority go with 205/45 all around, you can get many tires in that size for CHEAP.

I'm shopping around for some low offset 16s for my '89 325i. It's solely a street car and yes, I want to slam it with stretched tires and make it sit flush or tuck for the aesthetic appeal. Specifically I've been eying Rota's RB (Panasport remakes) in 16x8 +4. Do you think I'll have any clearance issues? I have stock calipers and Brembo blank rotors and I plan on keeping it that way. I'll be using GC coilovers too. I have no problem rolling, flaring, or cutting up the stock fenders and using the IE flares. In fact, I'd kind of like to ;)

Another idea I've been tossing around is having custom sized wheels made by Diamond Racing. They can build some insanely wide 15" wheels with 4x100 bolt pattern and backspacing from 1"-7". If I were to go this route and have some 15x8s made, what would you recommend for backspacing specs? I found a conversion chart (www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html) which helped me understand the correlation between backspacing and offset but I don't know what offsets will work and which ones will get me in trouble with these cars.

Also, with 8 inch wide wheels what size should I look in to? 205? 215? What about aspect ratio?

I have read probally 50 pages or more in this thread and didnt really find a definite answer. So I guess I will ask the expert.
I just recently finished turboing my car and am having some extreme traction issues. I currently am running 17x7 with Azenis 215/40/17. Im unsure of the exact offset. However I know i have a hubcentric 15mm spacer in there.
Basically i want a wider wheel to get a wider tire on there. I was considering going to a 16x8 wheel but I have found none of the tires that I would acually consider running on my car come in the a proper 235 or 245 size. SO I have settled for running 235/40/17's.
I have found a 17x8 wheel i like, however it only comes in 42mm offset. Would running the H+R 20mm spacer put me into the no rub zone? Or should i stick with the 15mm? I guess what i really would like to know is what is the perfect offset for a 235/245 17 to sit perfectly in the middle of the strut and fender lip with hopefully no rub?

^ are you sure on that? I can't say for certain whether it will fit but I do know it will be very close to the strut. 20mm spacer should clear, I guess you can try with the 15mm spacer though and see if it fits?

15mm spacer will put you at ET 27, this is the exact ET Mystikal told me to shoot for during numerous PM conversations on 17 x 8s with 235/40s a few months ago. And I'm now running 17 x 8 ET 25, 235/40s will go on at a later date.

Bigger diameter wheels have more room in regards to the strut because it leans inward from the hub.

Almost anything, contrary to popular thought.

Falken ZE-912 is a great cheap choice, BFG KDW2s are a very aggressive looking tire that WILL stretch.

As long as the RB's clear the calipers (I know a lot of Panasport replicas have very little caliper clearance), you'll be fine with 205/45 tires and fender rolling.

For a 15x8, any ET that is +22 or lower will clear the front struts. The lower you go, the tougher it will be for the fenders obviously. 205/50/15 is a good size.

With a 15mm, it will be very close. I recommend something like 17x8 ET25-28 for people who are having wheels custom made, simply because if there's an issue with a tire that has an unusually protrusive rim protector they can just use 3mm spacers to get that extra bit of clearance.

So, you MAY have a clearance issue. It will be close, so I can't guarantee it will work. And you will definitely be rolling at least the rear fenders.
