    Ok, so I finally have some RS-001's comming in the mail and am having to make a decision between 1" and 2" lips. I have both although the 2" lips are new and polished, i.e. ready to use.
    The tires I have are 205/55R15 Falken ZE-912's and the car is an early model (see sig) on the H&R Sport / Billstien Sport combo.
    I'd like to use the dishier lips if possable, but fender rolling is a no-go. Ideas? Pics of RS's with this final offet (15x8 et12 if my math with the 2" lips is correct)?

      you'll definitely have to roll your fenders to fit those without serious rubbage.

        Thats what I figured when I started to do the math. I guess it's time to get out the polishing-fixin's for the 1" lips...

          Not even a chance of fitting that setup without big fender flares. The 15x7 version is the E30-friendly one.

            The 17x8s are +20 72.6mm. The 17x9s are +22 IIRC, may be 24 or 26 but I'm too lazy to look it up and they're so rare it's probably irrelevant to you anyway.

              Your math is right, but as posted by 2002 it would require rolling.

                ESM-002 Fitment

                I know nearly nothing about wheel fitment and wanted to run this by you guys.

                I am looking at buying the ESM-002 wheel.

                I am looking at the 16X7.5 all around 4X100 (57.1CB)

                I have a late model Cabrio dropped on Cab specific H&R sports/bilstein combo. Stock Brakes.

                What offset should I be looking for to get a nice flush look with no fender rolling? ET 10, 20 or 35?

                I dont want any sort of Tire Stretch so what size tires/options should I go for?

                I have seen some people running 16X9 in the rear but I dont want to have to roll fenders/stretch tires to fit so I went with 16X7.5. Is my thinking correct?

                  You are correct. You can get the higher offset 16x9 to avoid fender rolling, but you will still have a stretched tire to deal with.

                  Now something is fishy on their site. The version you want is 16x7.5 +20 4x100, but they list that spec wheel as only being 4x108 (which I believe is a mistake on the site). You may want to call or e-mail Ary to see what's up with that.

                  If that version is available, you want them wrapped with any of the following tire sizes: 205/50/16, 215/45/16, or 225/45/16. All will fit fine without fender rolling, although the 225 is cutting it close.

                      I want to put Hoosier A6 225/45-15 on my car. It is a '91 318is with Racing Dynamics street lowering springs and Bilstein Touring and otherwise stock. Suspension is still soft like stock, but a bit lower.

                      The question is what wheel fitment is best. I currently have 15x7 TD ProRace1.2 ET25 but am interested in getting lighter by buying Enkei RPF1 15x7 ET35 or 6UL 15x7 or 7.5 ET35 or 40.

                      Fender cutting is out of the question, and rolling makes me nervous as the paint on the car is fairly new and still looks good.

                      This is all about maximum grip for Autocross in SCCA DSP.

                      What is the best wheel to fit my tires in without bodywork? And what recommended spacer size if needed?

                        i was set on a set of sportmaxes, 16x8 et0 for my car, however, i found something locally that i am contemplating. a 16x8 et0 will fit the same as a 16x7 -12(ish)? so basically, want to space them out to effectively get a -12mm offset. is my math correct here? much appreciated.

                        reason, these are local and $125.


                        depending on offset, it might be worth it to make them fit. they are epsilons from a fox body.


                        assuming that's right, i could run 205 in the rear and a 195 in the front?

                          out of curiosity will there be any issue using aftermarket rims on my e30 with the stock lugbolts? to be more exact can I use stock lugbolts with most aftermarket rims like motegis or anything similar?

                            Hey all,

                            Reading through this thread and didn't find exactly what i was looking for so maybe you can help.

                            Suspension: Bilstein sports and Vogtland springs.

                            want fit these: Kosei K1's 15x8 +32, with track tires

                            I have only tried them on the front with no tire and they had a slight rub on the shock. Have not had a chance to put them in the rear.

                            Looking for:

                            -Tire: Plan to use almost strictly for track. Looking at BF Goodrich g-Force Sport but not sure what will fit, 225 or 215 /50R15. want to go 225 if possible.

                            -Spacer: not looking to have to roll the fenders if i can avoid it. Best size spacer?

                              Id probably aim for the 15mm range or so. Not sure how the tires may get in the way of the fenders, id probably roll if youre planning on running big rubber

                                You can easily run either of those Enkeis. Keep in mind most spacers add almost a full pound to the wheel weight so make sure the move is worth it. Yes, 10-15 spacers are necessary for either model (15mm needed for the 7.5 +40).

                                If you really want to go for the gold here, you can buy the 15x8 TRM wheels from Tirerack. It will be very close to rubbing though, unless you do a minor rear roll. As long as you use lots of heat and roll gradually, there shouldn't be any issues. I'd honestly just try it out without rolling first though, it just might make it with the undersized diameter.
