I would really appreciate if you could please tell me if i will have to roll my fenders or not -

      tire spec:

      15x7j with 195/50 all around

as i am planning to drop it 100/80(front ~3.9 inches that is)

Current springs are supposed to be 80/75mm lower than stock and i have about 30 mm of clearance in front and i am not satisfied with the look. Not really worrying about the back as the wheels are sort of "tucked in"(thanks to camber).
But it would be cool if could avoid rolling fenders in front as i don`t like how they look that way, i rather not drop it then.

Edit: Basically what I am confused about is - is the current setup actually as low as it was said to be?

      Thanks in advance!
Need to know the offset of the wheels. Those tires are far too undersized though.

I could run a slight stretch with a 215/45/60, a bit more stretch with a 205/45/16 (Many more tire options that are much cheaper), or run no stretch with a 225/45/16. I am worried about having to roll the fenders for a 225 and 215 though. Any input on this? Also, the tires selection for these sizes aren't too great, any recommendations for tires as well? Thanks again.

225/45 requires a flat roll in the rear as well as stiff springs.

I'd run a 215/45 Kumho XS and laugh hysterically at the amount of grip, personally.

No, flares and/or really ugly fender pulling aka butchering.

I'm thinking of purchasing a set of BBS RS replicas for my 1985 318i (2-door) from a place that is advertising them as being made for the E21 and E30...however I've been told that the two models require completely different offsets, and I'm not fully up to speed on how all that works.

So I guess, to make it easy, what offset do I need for my car and secondly, will these wheels do the job (see below)?

            Much appreciated.
Those are E30-spec. They'll technically fit an E21, but they will be sunken inside the fender a bit. Just need 73mm->57.1mm rings.

before i pull the trigger, i want some insight. how far will the rears stick out? i have an early car. :D
Way, way out. Look up pics of qimis' M-tech II car, his rears were a similar spec. Custom fenders had to be made.

I can't find any specs on his wheels. The don't look as wide from what I can tell. But he never disclosed any specs.. He also has a late model car, no?

Stock oem 15" bbs rims with 24mm offset.

And i am aware of that(tire size), as until i have finished building my proper motor so that the underpowered m20b20 can be swapped out it is only a smooth daily driver.

This is going to sound really fucking stupid and has probably been asked many many times before, and I've used search, but I want to hear it from the wheel fitment master himself.

Through search I've learned that if I run a 17x9 I'll need a 15 offset (13 was quoted by the master, but, breathing room).

Here's the kicker. I want to run the Star Specs in 265/40R17.

Just how much work am I going to have to do?

Alright i need some help with ordering some custom spacers. My car has john cooper works r112 rims right now with an et 48. The previous owner put them on and it rubs the top of the front strut. Well im going to order some custom spacers with the right center bores and i was wondering what size spacers to run front and rear. The car will be lowered on gc's with shortned struts, and i would just like for the wheels to be flush with the fender. They are 17x7. This is on an early body car btw. Thanks for any advice

Mini Cooper Wheels have a 56.1mm Centerbore while the E30 uses a 57.1 CB. The stock Offset on 7" E30 wheels is ET24, however Alpina used an ET20 on their 7" E30 wheels. You could probably go as low as ET12 or so to get really flush. So you would need a spacer between 24 and 36mm that adapts from a 57.1 to a 56.1mm centerbore...

I want to run IX weaves on my 318is with IEIIIs...

I was thinking about 20mm spacers all around to clear brakes and try to get pretty flush, and a 205/50 o 205/55 but i can't decide which would look better; i don't want wheel gap but i don't want to rub either.

16x9.5 and 16x10, the rear offset was just below 0. Late car or not, the wheels stuck like 2" outside of the car without the bodywork.

Oh, you'll have acres of space then. It's a stock wheel with a tiny tire!
