Which is a better fitment for iX:17 x 7 ET 27 (Beyern Mesh Style Wheels) or 17 x 8 ET 35 (ESM 004) for iX? Thinking about 235/40/17 or 205/45/17. Thanks!

          Hey Jay,

Borbet 16x7.5 et20 and 16x9 et15. what size of tires should i run? do i need spacer for better stance?

i'm thinking 205/45 front & 215/40 rear. lmk your opinion and what brand of tires should i buy.

btw, i'm running IE3 w/ drop hats and koni sport on my late model

          Thank you,

            Mystikal:

I want to run Hankook Ventus RS3 on a 16x8" (ET20) wheel, but the sizes they offer (205/55 and 225/50) are oversized. Would an 8" wheel cause enough stretch on a 205/55 to negate the height difference, or atleast make it to where it will fit comfortably? I've ran 215/45 (Kumho XS) and 205/50 (DZ101 Star Specs) without rub.

            Thanks in advance,
            Ian

              Mr. Mystikal, odd question:
              imagine a wheel, 16x9, wrapped in 205/50/16.
what's the equivalent of the above, in terms of 16x8?

First set will definitely clear without a spacer and you can use 205/45 or 215/40. Second set will be very close to the front struts, you may need a 3-5mm spacer to clear. Up to 235/40 should be possible there.

It would look a lot better with 15mm front spacers. Tire sizes are okay, but the fronts will be noticeably taller than the rears. Either go 205/45 all around or 225/40 on the rear for a matching diameter. Falken 912, BFG G-Force Sport, Yoko S.drive, all good.

They can be made to work, but will still contact the front fender wells as a large steering angle is dialed (and could hit the top of the fender at the chassis seam if you're low). I recommend avoiding it, but if you're determined enough it's possible.
