    It’s Here!

My car is finally here. Here is a picture of it at the Port of Baltimore getting ready for its big trip to Indianapolis. Car started right up. Hope it makes it.

There is no picture on my screen. Curious though! :)

Sorry, I have been a little lax in updating this post.

Here is its first gas stop in Baltimore. I was sweating bullets, with the gas needle on "E" and the low fuel indicator lit up. I had no idea if I was going to get stranded out on the Interstate:

Two of the locals gave me a thumbs up on my new acquisition.

Here we are driving through Pennsylvania. Yes, I was taking my life in my hands getting this shot. The engine was running great but the suspension is a little loose. Every time a truck went by, the wind blast moved the car around in the lane. Two hands on the wheel were required (unless you need a picture!).

The good news is that this twitchiness will be easily sorted out with a suspension bushing refresh.

Yes, there is something wrong with the windshield wipers. They won't park in the correct location.

              Entering Indiana!

Everything is running great. I think I can make it.

                I made it!

650 miles from Baltimore to Indianapolis and all I had to do was put air in the tires and add a little water to the radiator because of a small leak.

I just saved $1000 in shipping costs to get the car from the port. (My Southwest ticket was only $79!)

Congrats! Maybe I'll see this around Indy when some of the events get back to normal.

The trip was exciting and satisfying. Exciting because of my new toy and satisfying because of the money I saved and the accomplishment of successfully buying this car from so far away.

Now if someone would write up a US export for sale so we can start unloading these "rare" US big bumper models...

Awesome! My trip home was also 650 miles after picking up my e30. Atlanta, GA to VA. Good way to get to know the car!
