Got the 5.3 out of a 2003 Silverado. And cleaning up engine bay. Getting rid of the LS7 cam, probably going to go with something a bit more aggressive.

The heat seems to be working fairly well. Last time I tried dry ice it didnt work well.

Way more easy and comes off way better, should be all gone this next few days.....

I wanted straight cut gears, and this trans is MUCH stronger. Its based off a Super T-10.

whoa I have never heard of that specific trans before. Why did you choose not to go with the T56 6-speed?

Got a bunch more insulation removed. Heat gun, scraper, and a hammer. What a pain!

It is a good thing you bought this car before I did, I would have parted it out and scrapped the shell... ;)

FYI I believe that car has an E28 M5 diff. I looked at buying that car once a couple years back when it had BBS RS and the whole 9 yards.
