Welp, my first post has been a long time coming. Hope I don't cry myself to sleep tonight when this is all over.
I've read quite a bit about this and am in a bit of a time crunch.
My eta is stock for now. I have all the bits I need for a 731 head swap, but after a few days at the machine shop that head has proven to be a money pit. I'm inclined to pump the brakes on it before I'm in too deep and use a friend's 885 head.
My hope is to keep it na, put a Bimmerheads 274 in it, and get a sssquid chip.
My question is how much can I safely mill this 885 head?
I realize thus question has likely been posed verbatim at some point, but I have looked. Really hoping I just get a response that say .040" or something easy lime that. But, I'm a realist and know that this might sting a bit more.
Thanks in advance for any guidance and for this fantastic site.
